Julie Saad
Julie Saad is a Communications Strategist with the Office of Communications at the Department of Homeland Security, U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services. She collaborates across the agency to deliver the right message, to the right audience, at the right time. Julie has developed and implemented communications plans for high-profile initiatives related to citizenship and immigration. In 2012, she led communications for a naturalization ceremony that was nationally televised live on NBC’s Today Show.
From 2006 – 2012, Julie worked as a Human Resources Specialist and Program Analyst at the U.S. Office of Personnel Management, where she led implementation of the Pathways Programs for students and recent graduates. She has provided expert advice – on how to navigate the Federal application process, craft a strong resume and understand Federal hiring programs – to thousands at colleges and universities across the country.
Previously, Julie worked for four years in the Ohio General Assembly. She was also featured as a young government leader in Government Executive’s 2008 cover story on the different generations in the Federal workforce.
Julie holds a B.A. in Political Science (Summa Cum Laude/with honors in the Liberal Arts) from The Ohio State University and a Master of Public Administration from American University.
