Dr. Jill Biden, Second Lady of the United States and wife of Vice President of Joe Biden, is a mother and grandmother, a lifelong educator, a proud military mom, and an active member of her community. Dr. Biden works to bring attention to sacrifices made by military families, highlight the importance of community colleges to America’s future, and raise awareness around women’s issues.
As a senior lecturer at Harvard Business School, Mitchell B. Weiss, created and teaches the school’s course on Public Entrepreneurship—on public leaders and private entrepreneurs who invent a difference in the world. Prior to HBS, Weiss was Chief of Staff to Boston’s Mayor Thomas Menino where he helped shade New Urban Mechanics, Boston’s Innovation Strategy.
Nathan Schwagler currently serves as Co-Director of The Dali’s Innovation Lab, where he facilitates the mapping, development, and deployment of innovation capabilities to drive business outcomes. He holds a BA in Psychology from SUNY Buffalo State, and dual Master of Science degrees in Creative Problem Solving from the International Center for Studies in Creativity, and Applied Entrepreneurship from the University of South Florida.
David Eagles is the Director of the Center for Presidential Transition and leads the Ready to Govern initiative at the Partnership for Public Service. David was a leader for the Romney presidential transition team in 2012 and was appointed in both the Bush and Obama Administrations serving at the senior executive service level and winning the distinguished service award.
Erika Andersen is an author and founding partner of Proteus, a coaching, consulting and training firm that focuses on leader readiness. In her latest book, Be Bad First: Get Good At Things Fast to Stay Ready for the Future, Erika explores what she calls the “key skill for the 21st century”: the ability to acquire new skills and knowledge continuously and well.
Writing in plain language is an art and a science that Janet C. Arrowood has taught for over 13 years. In her book Plain Language Please: How to Write for Results, she provides step-by-step guidelines to master plain language writing.
Dan Helfrich leads Deloitte’s Federal Government Services Practice, a team of nearly 7,500 people who work alongside the federal government. He is a leader in the federal space and writes and speaks regularly on topics of government innovation, customer experience in government, and the future of the government workforce.
