What To Do After You’re Registered
You’re registered for NextGen. A-M-A-Z-I-N-G.
Now what?
Here are five things you should do to make the most of the two-day Summit.
1. Schedule an Office Hours Appointment (optional, but recommended)
Office hours is a one-on-one 20-30 minute career coaching session. You’ll meet with a government expert to get advice on your career, help with your resume, or really, whatever you want to discuss. The time is yours. You must pre-register to secure a slot here: http://www.surveygizmo.com/s3/2786758/NextGen-Office-Hours-Attendees
2. Reserve Your Seat in One of Two Breakout Sessions (not required)
Two of the breakout sessions have limited seating and require homework to ensure you get the most from the interactive session:
- Build Your Strengths – Take the Clifton StrengthsFinder assessment and receive a free copy of the StrengthsFinder 2.0 ebook to understand your strengths.
- How to Be a Public Entrepreneur? – Read a Harvard Business School Case Study on Massachusetts’ first big city mobile 311 app, Boston’s Citizens Connect, to discuss during the session.
3. Download Topi, the Official NextGen App
Topi has all of the information you need on site at NextGen to find your breakout sessions, complete post-session surveys (required for CPE credit) and meet and chat with other attendees.

4. Invite a Colleague to the NextGen Public Service Awards Ceremony
This year, we’re honoring 30 finalists at the NextGen Public Service Awards Ceremony to close out the Summit. Inviting a colleague to join you is a great way to introduce them to NextGen, network with other rockstar govies and inspire them to public service greatness.
