
YGL Offers Upcoming Training for Generation X and Y Feds

Are you a young federal employee looking for a training targeted specifically for Generation X and Generation Y feds?
The Next Generation of Government Training Summit will be held July 26-27 at the JW Marriott in Washington, D.C., and is sponsored by Young Government Leaders (YGL) and GovLoop. The training is approved by the Office of Personnel Management (OPM) and is designed to cover the Executive Core Qualifications (ECQs) to develop critical skills needed by today’s government leaders.
Sessions offered at the Training Summit cover the topics of supervision, public speaking and project management and will be taught by Senior Executive Service (SES) members, senior political appointees and New York Times bestselling authors. Specific sessions include Leveraging Social Media Skills, Presentation Design for the User Experience, The Art of Giving and Receiving Feedback, and Never too Young to Plan – Financial Planning from TSP to Insurance.
The training sessions will also offer the more-than-500 anticipated attendees opportunities to network, valuable career advice from top senior government officials and lessons on best practices across government that can be replicated in different agencies.
